The T-Shirt Making Process

A lot of people have asked us what the difference is between screen printing and using heat-press for shirts.

At Wake Up Threads our preferred method is screen printing as it produces better results , which last a lot longer than other modes of fabric printing. While Heat-press can be a nice temporary solution, the designs tend to peel fast, and even modern print solution like cricut are not very durable.

This means a lot of work goes into the process, from the initial design that has to be converted digitally to print a positive, to the screen that gets created with a negative image, to the actual application of the ink on the shirt, which then has to be exposed to heat to become permanent.
